Mohamad

The name Mohamad originates from the Arabic language and is derived from the root word "hamd" which means "praise" or "gratitude". It is the masculine form of the name and is closely associated with the Islamic faith and its founder, Prophet Muhammad, who was born in Mecca around 570 CE.

Another notable figure was Muhammad Ali, the legendary American professional boxer who was born in 1942 and originally named Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. He changed his name to Muhammad Ali after converting to Islam and went on to become one of the most celebrated athletes of the 20th century, known for his exceptional skills in the ring and his activism outside of it.

Finally, one cannot overlook Muhammad Yunus, the Bangladeshi social entrepreneur and economist who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006 for his pioneering work in microfinance and economic development. Born in 1940, Yunus founded the Grameen Bank, which provided small loans to impoverished individuals, particularly women, to help them establish businesses and lift themselves out of poverty.
