Ranayah

One notable figure from that time was Ranayah bint al-Mu'tazz, a renowned poet and literary figure who lived in Baghdad during the Abbasid Caliphate (9th century).

Over the centuries, several other notable individuals have borne the name Ranayah. These include Ranayah al-Qurashi (1520-1590), a respected Islamic scholar and jurist from Mecca; Ranayah al-Dimashqi (1675-1742), a celebrated calligrapher and artist from Damascus; and Ranayah bint Ali (1810-1880), a prominent activist and leader in the Arab women's rights movement of the 19th century.

Another famous Ranayah was Ranayah al-Saqqaf (1882-1964), a celebrated Yemeni poet and writer known for her contributions to Arabic literature. She was widely respected for her eloquence and mastery of the Arabic language.

In more recent times, Ranayah al-Ghamdi (1920-2005) was a renowned Saudi Arabian educator and advocate for women's education. She played a pivotal role in establishing some of the first schools for girls in Saudi Arabia.
