Stanislav

The name Stanislav is of Slavic origin, deriving from the Slavic words "stanu" meaning "standstill" or "camp" and "slav" meaning "glory". It combines to mean something along the lines of "one who achieves glory by perseverance" or "he who achieves fame through camping or settling".
